- I wouldn't advise it. You could but linseed oil is the best oil to use on your bat. Flaxseed oil will like ruin your bat.
- boiled linseed oil is best because you retain the natural oils and does not interfere with discoloration that other oils on wood may do to sunlight rain etc,....secondly it is traditional to use boiled linseed oil...make sure that the container states "boiled" or it will not take to wood like fax seed oil
- linseed oil is much better
- Actually flaxseed oil will make your bat brittle, you need to use raw linseed oil not boiled. If you have a raw bat, put some linseed oil in a empty bowl put the bottom of the bat in and let it soak up the bat over night, this will help make the bottom of the bat strong so it wont split and the oil will be drawn up the bat to help make it stronger overall, then oil your bat let dry, give a light sand with fine sandpaper and repeat 2 more times, after the last coating of oil rub evenly all over the bat and let dry over night then knock the bat in with an old cricket ball.
